Announcing The Peter and Jeanne Lougheed Associate Concertmaster Endowed Orchestra Chair
Premier Peter Lougheed was a legend in Alberta politics and with his wife, Jeanne at his side, they were great supporters of arts and culture in the province. The groundwork that his government laid for the arts in Alberta has enabled the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra to flourish.
In recognition of Peter and Jeanne's contribution to the vitality of the arts and music in particular, the CPO is honoured to name the "Peter & Jeanne Lougheed Associate Concertmaster Orchestra Chair" as a lasting legacy to them.
We invite everyone who would like to honour Peter and Jeanne to make a donation in support of the naming of this chair.
Donations will be directed to The Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra Foundation. Under its staff support policy, monies raised will be matched by the Macquarie Group Foundation. In addition, the CPO Society and the CPO Foundation will apply for a matching grant through the Canada Cultural Investment Fund's Endowment Incentives Program.
