Sinfonia from Cantata No. 52
Bach composed Cantata No. 52 in Leipzig in 1726, to be performed on November 24, the twenty-third Sunday after Trinity. Its subject is the contrast between the falseness of the world and the goodness of God. For the introductory sinfonia, he re-used the festive opening movement of Brandenburg Concerto No. 1.
